When her mother, Madelyn, died, as frequently happens with the oldest child in a situation like this, Rita tried to help out her dad with her younger siblings, Gary, Billy, and Debra.  The younger children must have learned something good because all the kids turned out just fine. Now they have children and grandchildren, homes, boats, and the rest of the American dream. Rita Rae married a strapping young Cajun man named John and had her own children all of whom she is very proud.
