Louisiana Journey

It was to be a few day trip to Louisiana to visit my cousins. It bacame a journey to my roots. I always felt a bond with my aunts and uncles and cousins in Louisiana and some of my relationships with them have been real close. But this trip became a journey that immersed me in the rich broad basin of my Cajun and French kin.

My nights were wrapped in the wam love and hospitality of my cousins Jackie and Cliff Mire, and Rita Rae and John Terradot. My days were treks to the horseraces at Evangeline Downs, eating my favorite crawfish dishes at superb restaurants in Lafayette, St. Martinville, and Breaux Bridge, and best of all, just sitting and sharing with my cousins. Reflecting on memories and discovering and creating new relationships and awarenesses.

Note: I am going to be building these "Louisiana Journey" pages during June, so check back periodically to see the new pages.
