Flight Seven-O-Nine

"Welcome aboard Flight Seven-0-Nine,"
Said the captain to us all;
"Now just sit back and relax —
Today, you're ;gonna have a ball."

The stewardess smiled and took orders:
Wine for Betty, a martini for me;
We munched on Dobbs House food
As the captain showed us places to see.

Amid this glorious euphoria
Our plane made a sudden correction,
Hurling our dinner across the aisle,
Dashing all feelings of protection.

"Dodged a Cessna," the pilot admitted,
"Nothing to worry about,
Observe on your left Slow River
On the right is Ol' Fort Gout."

Later a downdraft caught the plane
Plunging us a thousand feet down:
Stomachs merged with hearts and heads,
But the captain still played the clown.

He quickly regained his composure
"Hope y'all are having a nice day,
We're glad you chose Seven-Ohhhh"
The downdraft took his stomach away.

Somewhere there's an airport heaven
Where all good pilots go,
But ours is not yet ready—
"On the left is Kokomo...oooo."
