When
Chaos Reined |
| Death and destruction rained from the sky and chaos reined …………for a while For a while, there was shock and anger and disbelief And a strange sense of disassociation Surely this is not real Yes, it happens in Israel Yes, it happens in Beirut Yes, it happens elsewhere, But not here Not in the United States We are the special country of God That’s why we are rich and powerful So, how could it happen here To the special people of God? Could it be that all people are special to God? Could God possibly love a terrorist as much as He loves me? Too many questions ……..and few acceptable answers Where was God, many asked And how could He permit this? Some who know Him say He was there ……..dying and rising ……..comforting and consoling just as He was in the Nazi death camps Yet…..there are still more questions than answers If He gives us free will so that we may freely choose to love Him Then we also must face the consequences of that freedom when love does not prevail BUT love will ultimately prevail. |
